An important Victorian diamond cluster necklace, consisting of eighteen diamond-set clusters graduating is size from the centre, connected with gold trace chain embelished with eighteen single diamond-set collets in-between, the central diamond estimated to weigh apprximately 2 carats and the total combined weight of the diamonds including the central one estimated at 44 carats, all cut-down set in silver with gold back and gold hidden clasp, circa 1880, measuring approximately 43 x 2cm, gross weight 41.7 grams.
A radiant necklace which features eighteen clusters set with alluring diamonds, each between smaller diamonds which catch the light beautifully. The graduation in size of the diamond clusters is subtle, but still draws the eye to the largest cluster at the front of the necklace, which scintillates beautifully. The yellow gold of the setting contrasts with the cool diamonds, adding a lovely warmth to the necklace. This necklace is the epitome of Victorian style and sophistication and will look stunning with a strapless gown.
