The Bugatti Tourbillon is the culmination of this vision.” AN UNPRECEDENTED AUTOMOTIVE INSPIRATION The Bugatti Tourbillon is the perfect horological twin of the manufacturer’s new hypercar of the same name. Innovations, unprecedented complications and revolutionary architecture: the watch and the car are integrated in an unprecedented aesthetic and mechanical manner. Ten key design elements are directly borrowed from the Bugatti universe: a sculpted case featuring the brand’s iconic silhouette, tinted sapphire crystal side openings inspired by the windows of the hypercar, a dial reminiscent of the dashboard and its rev counter, and a mechanical animation reproducing the movement of the V16 engine. FROM IDEA TO EXCEPTION In September 2022, Bugatti announced to Jacob & Co. the design of a revolutionary new hypercar. In January 2023, a meeting between the teams of the two brands sealed the perfect integration of automotive and watchmaking design. Eighteen months of intensive development gave birth to the Bugatti Tourbillon, a watch embodying the extreme know-how of two exceptional companies. SPECIFICATIONS General AN EXTRAORDINARY COMPLICATION Limited edition: 150 pieces The JCAM55 caliber is a technical feat inspired by the V16 engine of the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar. V16 engine automaton A transparent sapphire engine block houses 16 titanium cylinders, driven by a crankshaft that is unique in watchmaking. Once activated, it drives the movement of the pistons and exhaust manifolds, offering a spectacular 20-second mechanical sequence.Tourbillon volant 30 secondes To counteract the effects of gravity, the tourbillon rotates once every 30 seconds, twice as fast as the standard one-minute rotation, thus optimizing the precision of the movement. Retrograde display and jumping hour The hour and minute hands travel through a 270-degree arc before instantly returning to zero. The hour hand makes a dynamic jump every 60 minutes. Dual power reserve indicator Two separate displays provide information on the autonomy of the automatic movement and the overall power reserve of the movement, guaranteeing optimal energy management. Invisible crowns One of Jacob & Co.’s fundamental principles is to conceal the side crowns.
