Unlike many examples offered, this is not an allocation or a car still in production—it is a physical car, available immediately without restrictions. The AMG One is one of the most advanced automotive engineering projects ever undertaken by Mercedes-Benz. Unveiled as a concept in 2017 at the International Motor Show in Germany by Lewis Hamilton and Dieter Zetsche, it took five years of extensive development before the production version was launched in 2022. The challenge? Bringing Formula 1 technology to the road. At the heart of the AMG One is a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 derived from the 2015 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 car, paired with four electric motors for a combined output of 1063hp. The electrified front axle motors can individually reach 50,000 rpm, allowing for selective torque vectoring and razor-sharp handling. The result: 0-200 kmh in just 7.0 seconds / 0-100 kmh in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 352 kmh. Beyond extreme performance, the AMG One is a record-breaking machine. It holds the Nürburgring lap record for a production car, with a time of 6:29.090 making it the first road car to break the 6:30 barrier. This was achieved through active aerodynamics, including moveable slats on the front wheelhouses, an extendable two-part rear wing, and adjustable front diffuser flaps all tuned to optimize downforce for extreme high-speed stability. Additional Formula 1-derived features include an iconic longitudinal fin, aerodynamically optimized forged aluminium wheels and NACA ducts for improved cooling. This is the first and likely last road car to feature an authentic F1 powertrain making it a future collector’s icon.
