The RUF SCR is a rare and sought-after custom sports car, with only 70 examples produced for the 2022 model year. Built from scratch by RUF as a homage to the classic air-cooled 911, it features a bespoke carbon-fibre monocoque chassis with an integrated IRC lightweight steel roll cage and carbon-fibre bodywork, resulting in an impressive curb weight of just 1,250 kg. Power comes from a 4.0-litre Mezger-derived alloy flat-six with intakes positioned under the rear side windows, delivering 510hp to the rear wheels through a six-speed ZF manual transmission. The SCR can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds, before reaching a claimed top speed of 198 mph. It features KW V5 coilover suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, a variable sports exhaust and a front axle lift system, while design cues include a ‘whale tail’ spoiler, and a retro interior with carbon-fibre bucket seats and a period-look five-gauge instrument cluster.
